Another version of this verse says that we are to love each as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. Christ's death on the cross is the ultimate demonstration of love. While Jesus was hanging on the cross, he asked the father to forgive us. He simply stated, they don't know what they are doing. This is the ultimate act of love. No matter what you have done, his love for us erases every sin through his forgiveness.
