David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the Lord his God. 1 Samuel 30:6 NLT
David was in a desperate situation. His friends were plotting to kill him. David began to rehearse how God had been faithful to him in the past. Hope arose in his heart and he was encouraged. In these desperate times, encourage yourself. Rehearse your past victories of how God showed up in your life. If he was faithful to David, then surely he can rescue you out of your despair. Remember, we win!
